In my particular case I have devoted myself predominantly to the Fauna and Flora theme.

And from today, criticism and comments allowing, I will begin to tell
you the most salient aspects of this collection starting with the theme
Birds and a special chapter dedicated to our beloved Latin America.
The different postal administrations make no difference regarding the sovereignty of the countries and the stamps are issued in their capacity as such, that is, as the issuing country.

However, I make the difference simply as statistical data, considering that the present series of articles referring to the issues of postage stamps on the subject of Most Beautiful Birds will be done in a strictly alphabetical order.

Bolivia has become the fifth richest country with bird species in the world and the richest country on the planet without access to the sea.

This is mainly due to its location and geographic extent, which covers many of South America's great habitats.

In this way, in the Bolivian west it is in the corner of the Andes, limited with the Amazon Forest in the north and the Chaco in the south. The only exclusive habitat almost entirely is the Llanos de Moxos.

The protection of biodiversity has always been a constant in Bolivian postal stamp issues.

Bolivia still has large areas with little human-affected habitat and has the potential to protect entire bird communities where human presence is very low.

The main danger for its conservation is the loss of habitat due to degradation, disturbance and destruction of natural ecosystems. In the case of birds, a total of 65 species considered globally threatened have been registered.

The geographical distribution of most of these species is poorly understood, as well as the threats that put them at risk of extinction.

The possessions were originally acquired by the French East India Company beginning in the second half of the 17th century, and were de facto incorporated into the Republic of India in 1950 and 1954.

The French establishments included Pondichéry, Karikal and Yanaon on the Coromandel Coast, Mahé on the Malabar Coast and Chandernagor in Bengal.

French India also included several loges ("lodges", subsidiary trading stations) in other towns, but after 1816, the loges had little commercial importance and the towns to which they were attached came under British administration.

By 1950, the total area measured 510 km2 (200 sq mi), of which 293 km2 (113 sq mi) belonged to the territory of Pondichéry. In 1936, the population of the colony totalled 298,851 inhabitants, of which 63% (187,870) lived in the territory of Pondichéry.

The Independence of India on 15 August 1947 gave impetus to the union of France's Indian possessions with former British India. The lodges in Machilipatnam, Kozhikode and Surat were ceded to India in October 1947.

An agreement between France and India in 1948 agreed to an election in France's remaining Indian possessions to choose their political future. Governance of Chandernagore was ceded to India on 2 May 1950, then it was merged with West Bengal state on 2 October 1954. On 1 November 1954, the four enclaves of Pondichéry, Yanam, Mahe, and Karikal were de facto transferred to the Indian Union and became the Union Territory of Puducherry. The de jure union of French India with India did not take place until 1962 when the French Parliament in Paris ratified the treaty with India.

It has a very low population density, with only inhabitants per square kilometre (9.3/sq mi). (Its population is less than 1/200 the population of Metropolitan France.)

Half of its 296,711 inhabitants in 2019 lived in the metropolitan area of Cayenne, its capital. 98.9% of the land territory of French Guiana is covered by forests, a large part of which is primeval rainforest.

The Guiana Amazonian Park, which is the largest national park in the European Union covers 41% of French Guiana's territory.

This assembly, the French Guiana Assembly (French: assemblée de Guyane), has replaced the former regional council and departmental council, which were both disbanded.

The French Guiana Assembly is in charge of regional and departmental government. Its president is Rodolphe Alexandre.

The region still faces such problems as poor infrastructure, high costs of living, high levels of crime and common social unrest.
